1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using dokk.ai ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
dokk.ai is a web-based PDF editor and viewer that provides tools for editing, converting, merging, splitting, compressing, and managing PDF documents. The Service includes free and paid subscription plans.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete registration information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
4. Acceptable Use and Fair Use
You agree not to upload malicious files, use the Service for illegal purposes, attempt to circumvent security measures, use automated bots without authorization, share account credentials, or resell access. You may use the Service for high-volume document processing within plan limits, Workflow Builder automation, team collaboration, and AI features within credit allocation.
4.1 Rate Limits
The Service enforces per-plan rate limits. Exceeding limits results in temporary throttling (HTTP 429). Repeated violations may result in IP-level restrictions up to 24 hours. Rate limit details are on our pricing page.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all documents you upload and create using the Service. dokk.ai does not claim any rights to your content. The Service itself, including its design, code, and branding, is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
6. Subscription Plans and Billing
The Free plan provides 10 operations per day, 50 MB file size limit, 25 AI credits per month, and 1 GB storage. Premium and Premium+ plans are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe in EUR. You may cancel at any time with access continuing until the end of the billing period. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial.
7. Data Processing
Uploaded files are processed on our servers. Temporary files are automatically deleted within 2 hours. We do not access or read your documents except when you use AI features with explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
8. AI Features
AI features use Anthropic's Claude language model to analyze and process documents. By using AI features, you consent to your document content being processed by Anthropic's API. AI features are subject to GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD compliance as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. dokk.ai is not liable for any loss of data, interruption of service, or damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.
10. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with prior notice and reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days. You may request data export before account closure.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Republic of Poland. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Poland. EU consumers may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
