- 1Upload your PDF. dokk.ai analyzes the document structure and lists all embedded image resources found across all pages.
- 2Review the image inventory — count, formats, and estimated sizes. Select all images or choose specific ones to extract.
- 3Choose output format: keep native formats, or convert all to JPG (with quality setting) or PNG. For print-quality images, use PNG or keep native.
- 4Click Extract Images. dokk.ai pulls each image from the PDF content stream at original resolution.
- 5Download the ZIP archive containing all extracted images, named by page and sequence number for easy identification.
You received a PDF containing product photos, charts, diagrams, or scanned images — and now you need the actual image files. Opening the PDF in a viewer and screenshotting images loses resolution and produces blurry results. Trying to copy-paste images from a PDF rarely works correctly. What you need is to extract the actual embedded image data from the PDF's internal structure at full, original resolution. dokk.ai's image extraction tool reaches inside the PDF's content stream, locates every embedded image resource, and saves each one as a standalone file at its original dimensions and color depth. There is no resampling, no quality reduction, and no screenshot approach — you get the actual pixel data that the PDF author embedded, exactly as they stored it. The tool identifies images embedded as JPEG, JPEG 2000, TIFF, PNG, and raw bitmap streams. Each extracted image is saved in its native format, preserving the original compression and color profile. For a 12 MP product photo embedded in a PDF, you get a 12 MP output file — not a 72 DPI screenshot. You can also choose to convert all extracted images to a uniform format (all to JPG or all to PNG) with configurable quality settings. Extracted images are numbered sequentially with their page location (page-01-image-001.jpg, page-01-image-002.jpg, page-02-image-001.jpg) so you can easily trace which image came from which page. For PDFs with many images, all files are bundled in a ZIP archive for convenient download. After extracting images, continue your workflow with related dokk.ai tools: use PDF to JPG if you need page renders rather than embedded images, Compress PDF to reduce the source document after removing large images, or Image to PDF to reassemble selected images back into a new document.

PDFs are transferred over TLS and processed on isolated servers. All files — input PDF and extracted images — are automatically deleted after one hour. No content is retained or used for any purpose other than the extraction you requested.
