Flatten PDF

PDF forms and annotations are designed to be interactive — fields can be typed into, checkboxes can be toggled, comments can be edited. But that interactivity becomes a liability the moment you need to share a completed document that recipients should not be able to modify. A filled-in application form, a signed review document, or an annotated contract sent to a client should look exactly as completed — with no possibility of someone accidentally clearing a field, changing a checked box, or deleting a sticky note comment. Flattening a PDF merges interactive form fields, annotations, and comments into the static page content. After flattening, the PDF looks identical to the filled-in version, but the fields are no longer editable — they are rendered as ordinary text and graphics, indistinguishable visually from the rest of the document.
